QUESTIONS
Private Sessions
Is this therapy?
No. These sessions are trauma-informed and supportive, but they are not psychotherapy or a replacement for mental health care.
Do I need yoga experience?
Not at all. Many clients are new to yoga or have had difficult experiences in traditional classes.
Can this support me alongside therapy?
Yes. Many clients use private sessions as nervous system support alongside therapy, coaching, or other care.
Are sessions virtual or in person?
Sessions may be offered virtually or in person depending on availability.
What if I don’t know what I need?
That’s okay. Sessions are collaborative and adapt in real time.

Do parents stay in the child's session?
This depends on the child’s age, needs, and comfort level. Parent involvement is always discussed and consent-based.
What ages do you work with?
Sessions are offered for children ages 3–17, with practices adapted to developmental needs.

My child doesn’t like yoga. Is that okay?
Yes. Sessions are not about poses — they are about regulation, safety, and connection.

Aromatherapy Products

What are your candles made of?
Zen Aromas soy candles are made with all-natural soy wax, braided eco-friendly cotton wicks, and essential/fragrance oils. Just wax, wick, and scent with no other additives or dyes.
Where are your products made?
All of our products are handcrafted and hand-packaged in our home workshop in Maryland.
Do you have a store I can visit in-person?
At this time, we do not have a stand-alone store of our own.
How long do your candles last?
As long as you keep the wick trimmed and only burn them for 4 hours at a time, our candles last approximately 60-72 hours, depending on the size of the vessel.
Should I burn a particular scented candle in a particular room/space?
Each of our candles has its own individual character. Although some scents may be stronger than others, you should move your candle around the house in different rooms, in order to determine which candle smells best in each room.
Why should I trim the wick and only burn your candles for 4 hours at a time?
-
These are common instructions and good practices for any candle and are meant to prolong a candle’s burn time. A longer wick creates a larger flame and a larger flame melts the wax faster. So, the longer your candle burns, the larger the flame gets, causing your candle to melt faster.
-
Keeping the wick trimmed and burning 4 hours at a time slows everything down so you get a longer burn time.
-
Additionally, burning your candle for 4 hours at a time ensures that the wax melts all the way to the edge of the jar. The melted wax (not the flame) is what gives off your candle’s scent, so this will maximize your candle’s scent when lit.
How quickly will my order ship?
-
We make every effort to ship your orders as quickly as possible.
-
Shipping days are typically on Mondays and Thursdays for items placed no later than 3pm EST.
-
Holiday shipping is usually same day or next day. Currently, all orders are shipped from southern Maryland via USPS Priority Mail.
-
You will receive a tracking number for your order when it is fulfilled. By default, our packages do not require a signature. All orders over $100 come with free shipping.
What makes an all-natural soy wax candle different?
-
While paraffin wax is refined from crude oil, soy wax is made from soybeans, a completely renewable resource grown here in the US. Compared to paraffin, soy wax burns cleaner with no petrol-carbon soot. Soy wax also burns slower than paraffin, so soy wax candles also last longer.
Can I buy your products wholesale to sell them in my store?

"Find Your Zen" Support Group 8-week Container
Who is Find Your Zen for?
Find Your Zen is for adults who feel overwhelmed, dysregulated, burnt out, or disconnected from themselves—especially parents, caregivers, trauma survivors, and neurodivergent individuals. If your nervous system feels like it’s constantly “on,” you struggle to rest, or you want gentler tools to feel more grounded and present, this container was created with you in mind.
Who is this not for?
This container may not be a good fit if you’re looking for:
-
Intense physical workouts or power yoga
-
A quick fix or rigid step-by-step self-improvement program

Clinical therapy or trauma processing
-
A space that requires sharing personal details or speaking if you’re not ready

Find Your Zen is about choice, safety, and nervous-system respect, not pushing or performing.
Do I need yoga experience to join?
No experience is required. All practices are gentle, accessible, and adaptable, with options offered throughout. You are always encouraged to listen to your body and opt out or modify as needed.

Non-judgmental and pressure-free
-

Many participants describe feeling more settled, less reactive, and more connected to themselves over time.
What if I struggle with consistency or motivation?
You’re not alone and you’re not expected to “do it perfectly.” This container is intentionally designed to meet you where you are. You’ll be guided with compassion, encouraged to start small, and reminded that showing up imperfectly still counts.

Is this therapy?
No. Find Your Zen is a trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness container, not psychotherapy or medical treatment. While it can be deeply supportive, it does not replace therapy. Many participants choose to use this alongside their existing mental health care.

What if I get overwhelmed easily or shut down in groups?
This space honors nervous system differences. You are never required to speak, share, or turn on your camera. Participation is always optional, and you’re encouraged to engage in ways that feel safest for you.
How much time do I need each week?
Live sessions are structured to be manageable, and optional practices are intentionally short and realistic. This container is designed for real life, not another item on your to-do list.
What if I miss a session?
Life happens. If replays are included, you’ll be able to return to the practice when it works for you. There is no guilt or pressure around attendance.

Is your podcast beginner-friendly? I’ve never practiced yoga before.
Yes! The practices and discussions are always inclusive and invitational. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to explore.
How is this podcast different from other yoga podcasts out there?
We focus specifically on trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming practices. That means no pressure to perform, no pushing through pain, and no one-size-fits-all approach. We honor choice, consent, and body autonomy in every episode.
Are there guided practices on the podcast, or is it all educational?
Both! Some episodes are focused on nervous system science and self-awareness, while others offer guided breathwork, gentle yoga flows, or mindfulness practices you can do right from your bed, couch, or chair.
How can I suggest a topic or question for the podcast?
You can DM me on Instagram @zenaromas.wellness or use the contact form on my website.
